Hello again friends. Happy Friday! Well it looks like it's that time of year again. Valentine's Day! The wonderful day when we celebrate those that we heart most. I love making things more than anything and I knew I wanted to make something quick and super special for such a fun love filled day.
This little project is inspired by the Happy Garland Message Board in 'Zakka Style' created by fabulous contributor Katrien Van Deuren. Katrien blogs at Pilli Pilli and she so super talented and her creations are just amazing to me! I truly admire her work. Be sure to check out some of her lovelies at her Flickr page.
The message board is one of my favorite projects from the book, as you can easily adapt this pattern to any holiday or occasion. You can use a large hoop or even a tiny one and leave a message for a special someone in your life. *sigh* Gotta love a project with lots of possibilities!
The Stash Books blog has a couple of great posts featuring loads of cute little projects for Valentine's Day. So if you're looking for more inspiration pop over to their page.
They're also going to be giving away some lovely fabric. Genevieve Gail's Flower Bucket collection from Windham Fabrics! Don't miss it!
Also, for my ATL friends, I'll be at Intown Quilters most of the day tomorrow. I'll be joining the Atlanta Modern Quilt Guild for a little chat at 10am. Then I'll be doing a Zakka Style book signing at 2pm! If you're not busy, I'd love to see you! Please drop by and say, "Hola!".
