Happy Friday!
So the Spring Runner Sew Along at Stumbles and Stitches has come to a close and I finally got mine finished! Thank you Angel and Jenny for inviting me to play along!
I've been busy working on my projects for Quilt Market next month, so this was a little last minute. I really tried to sew this quickly and admittedly it's not my best work. I'm not very happy with the quilting, I'm not sure what I was thinking when I did it! Booo. :P I think something much simpler would have worked better, I think it takes away from the triangles. I'll will try again with this desing for sure though. I really do LOVE how the triangles came out and the colors as well. I used my Squiggles fabric for the backing, which is one of my favorites from my new collection.
As I mentioned in my previous post I was inspired by this fabulous print by Design des Troy.
Now that I've got the pattern figured out I'd really like to do this again, but on a MUCH grander scale. I think the pattern would be great on a quilt for my bed perhaps. Nice big happy triangles. ^_^
There are some really lovely runners in the Flickr Group from the talented participants and the voting has started for the contest winner! I've already cast my vote! Run over (no pun intended) and have a look!
