Yellowing
Happy Monday! Hope everyone's weekend was divine! Mine was busy, busy, busy! Ikea run, grocery shopping, spring cleaning, laundry, rearranging some of our rooms, worked on some projects, and the weekend is over. *sighs* Weekends should be 3 days long. Maybe I can start a petition to change that.
Huge thank you to you all for your comments on my last post! Some really great suggestions as well, I took some notes! Thanks! And thanks to the folks at Craftzine for posting about my calendar. If any of you make a calendar I'd love to see it, let me know!
Sssoooooo. I've fallen for yellow! I know how can you not when it's all over the place these days. I guess I'm a little late, but I'm finally hopping on the yellow bandwagon. We even painted one of our walls yellow.
Some newly acquired 'yeller' stuff. The pot and the plant are from Ikea, I chose a succulent because my thumb is every color in the rainbow but green. Please don't fear for this little plant's life! I'm keeping my fingers and even my Technicolor thumbs crossed that I can keep this plant alive.
The fabrics are mostly from Sew, Mama, Sew from a few weeks back so I'm not sure if they're all in stock still.
I think I've been so apprehensive with it because it's such a hard color to pull off. I just can't bring myself to wear yellow clothing just yet, I mean I'm 5' 10". I feel like I'd look like a big ol' giant walking banana or something!! Not cool. I'm sticking to fabric, accessories, and housewares for now.

I say, go for yellow, and I'm 6'0"! Just, wait until you get a tan of course.

I'd love to be 5'10" and look like a banana lol! Lovely fabrics, lovely blog!

I'm with ya on the yellow thing, I'm a bit obsessed with it right now...wearing it right now!

Oh, could you work a few more hours into each day, too, while you're at it? 3 day weekend, more hours in a day, that should help a lot...
Thanks! :0)

*Sam* Hahaha! I'll be sure to be nice and bronzed when I take the yellow clothes plunge!
*Laurence* That made me laugh out loud! Thank you ^_^
*Lisa* I've noticed the yellow coming out in your work. It looks great!
*Michelle* I'll add those to my petition pronto! :D

I've succumbed to yellow too. Just made myself a yellow skirt this weekend. I figure a yellow skirt won't make me look too seasick, not like a yellow sweater would. Just the thought of yellow right next to my face kind of makes me feel seasick...

I'm 5' 10" too. Now I'll look at you with whole new, but similar, eyes. Does that make any sense?

Beautiful fabric! I am sure you won't look like a banana if you choose the right combination of colors (yellow + another color). We just have to be bold sometimes! :)

I'm loving your yellow walls :o) my cousin just painted her room a buttery yellow sunshine color. It's delicious. I think you could pull off wearing yellow. I actually bought a yellow dress at Marshalls a few weeks ago, and haven't worn it yet...because I feel like it would just be too bright. I know that sounds silly. If you're a giant walking banana, I guess I'd be more like a mini walking banana. I'm going to do it one of these days...when the sun in shining!

The fabrics are delicious (as always!) I used to hate yellow but for some reason I am beginning to love it - I have a bright yellow t-shirt that makes me very happy indeed and recently I got a lovely yellow dress from Banana Republic which does make me feel like a big daffodil - but a happy daffodil! I imagine at 5ft 10" you can pull anything off ;-)
