Some time ago, I saw a bag similiar to this on a Japanese zakka site, I loved it, saved it to memory, recreated it with some subtle differences. Trying to make it without a pattern was not that much of challenge. The pleating was quite an adventure though, I haven't done it since college! I used Amy Butler Clay/Coriander fabric from her Belle collection for the lining. It has a linen pocket on the inside and a magnetic snap closure. I was having some trouble getting a good shot of the inside, hence the reason there is no photo. It's funny, at first I didn't really like the outcome. But after staring at it for a few days and posing with it in the mirror, and making my husband model it for me, it's grown on me. So, I'm quite pleased with it now. ^_^ I think I'm going to make another!
